The convicted murderer said his initiation included helping another member kill one gang enemy and stabbing another who had stolen the watch of a member. Wearing an eye patch and olive-colored prison jumpsuit, Smith told jurors he wanted to join the gang as soon as he entered the prison system in 1977. Earlier in the day, Clifford Smith, an Aryan Brotherhood member from 1978 to 1984, testified in the federal racketeering trial. ![]()
